They're Showing Me the Money - but Should I Quit Today?

Contracting: it brings in the money, but In some environments it can often be very difficult and unrewarding. What do you do when you hate going to the office and the people you are accountable to, and - no help - everyone else seems to feel the same way?
A client this week came in looking haggard and exhausted. He'd had a sleepless night with worrying thoughts racing around his head and not knowing what to do. During the session we reviewed together the reasons for his decision to go contracting in the first place. He revisited his long-term goals and within the hour he had realised that contracting was only a short-term solution and a stepping stone to providing him with the resources for his longer-term plans.
Step back and review situations in life that you find frustrating and difficult to manage. Be clear about what you are doing and the reasons why. This awareness will either make the situation acceptable in the short-term or it will motivate you to make a change. After all, it's your life.
All the best,
